Please join us for a Welcome Weekend to celebrate the 2023 LOC Scholars.
August 5th & 6th
Los Angeles, California
LOC Scholars and up to two parents or guardians are invited to attend.
All events, except the scholar social, are for both scholars and parents.
Please RSVP below by June 30th.
Itinerary
Saturday, August 5th
Sunday, August 6th
Saturday events will be held at the Conrad and X Lanes Bowling.
Attire is smart casual.
Smart casual attire includes clothing that is comfortable and easy to bowl in (including socks!). It does not include ripped denim, tank tops, shorts, or flip flops.
Sunday brunch will be held at Manuela.
Attire is business casual.
Business casual attire includes collars/button-downs, slacks, and dresses. It does not include ripped denim, t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, or flip flops.
All travel and lodging costs will be covered by the Foundation. For those traveling from out of state, hotel accommodations for two nights will be provided at the Conrad. If you wish to stay additional nights at your own cost please let us know on the RSVP form and we will make your reservation accordingly. For air travel, please book your flight and save your receipt. You will be reimbursed for roundtrip coach airfare as well as ground transportation costs getting to and from the airport. Please email all receipts to locscholars@areterising.org at the end of the weekend and a reimbursement check will be mailed to you.
We recommend purchasing your flight as soon as possible.
Transportation to and from events will be provided. Transportation to and from the Conrad on Saturday and Manuela on Sunday will be provided through the Foundation’s Uber account. Transportation for scholars to X Lanes Bowling on Saturday will be provided by bus. Transportation home from X Lanes Bowling will be provided through the Foundation’s Uber account.
