altPath debuts Demo + Match Me Series in Partnership with First Star
altPath had the privilege of meeting with First Star Bruin Guardian Scholars Academy – Scholars at UCLA to share a live demo of our platform and a walk-through of the Match Me feature.
First Star’s work to help high school students who have experienced foster care succeed academically, build life skills, and prepare for college and career pathways deeply resonates with our mission. We were excited to show how AltPath can support Scholars as they explore their educational journeys and future opportunities.
The Scholars asked thoughtful questions, engaged in meaningful dialogue, and inspired us with their perspectives.

About the Author - Lindsey Wonder
Lindsey Wonder is the Partnerships & Programs Coordinator at Areté Rising, where she helps build collaborations with schools, nonprofits, and community partners to expand opportunities for young people. With a background in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University, she brings a strong lens for storytelling, relationship-building, and purposeful communication. Lindsey previously supported students in higher education and now continues that commitment by guiding scholars and connecting them with resources. Based in Los Angeles, she enjoys time with her dog, Archie, and is passionate about using creativity to strengthen community.
