altPath Presented at Career Connect Powered by Change Reaction
altPath was honored to present at Career Connect, powered by Change Reaction. This event was hosted alongside HTA at their downtown location.
We even got to start the morning off right with coffee made by HTA’s Barista/Latte Artist Apprenticeship Program, a small but powerful reminder that opportunity can be brewed from the ground up.
It was inspiring to stand alongside fellow partners JVS and Lost Angels, all of us showing up for the same vision: a community where everyone has a real path to economic mobility.
Throughout the morning, conversation after conversation pointed to the same truth: people are looking for more than just a job. They’re looking for a way forward, and they need to know that path actually exists. That’s exactly why altPath exists too. Every program represented in that room, from HTA’s hospitality training to the work being done by JVS and Lost Angels, is proof that when opportunity is visible and accessible, people take it and run.
We also got to share how altPath works to make those pathways easier to find: matching learners with the right programs, connecting them to grants like altAid that can remove financial barriers, and providing training providers a platform to reach the people who need them most. Hearing directly from organizations doing this work on the ground only reinforced how much potential there is when platforms and programs work side by side.
Moments like this remind us that the work we do individually becomes so much more powerful when we do it together.
