altPath at the ExpandLA & LAUSD Mixer
Last week, altPath had the opportunity to attend the ExpandLA & LAUSD mixer, an event designed to bring schools and community-based organizations together in one shared space. The atmosphere was filled with energy, purpose, and a collective commitment to empowering students across Los Angeles.
The mixer offered a unique chance to connect directly with LAUSD staff as well as organizations working across fields like college and career readiness, health and wellness, after-school programming, and mentorship. These conversations opened doors to collaboration, sparking ideas on how we can align our efforts to better serve young people.
For altPath, the event was more than just networking, it was about strengthening relationships that will help ensure students have equitable access to the resources they deserve. We were encouraged to see how many educators and nonprofit leaders are eager to join forces, recognizing that collaboration is the key to expanding opportunities for youth.
We’re grateful to be part of a community that believes in collective action, and we look forward to seeing how these connections evolve into meaningful projects that make a lasting difference for students across Los Angeles.
